Helen "Eileen" (Deeter) Harvey
Helen "Eileen" (Deeter) Harvey, 86, passed away May 5, 2011, at Riverside, WA. She was born in a country farmhouse in Irricana, Alberta, Canada, to Fern and Carey Deeter on May 24, 1924. She moved with her family to the United States when she was five years old. She attended schools in Okanogan County, graduating from Omak High School in 1942. Eileen worked with children and young people and was a pianist and a church organist for many years of her life. She authored a book, "Christmas Creek", and several published articles. Eileen worked in apple warehouses for 50 years.
She is survived by a daughter, Peggy Krassin, son-in-law, Doug Krassin and one grandson, all of Salem, OR; four great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, C. Joyce Deeter of Wenatchee; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; two brothers; and one grandson.
The family would like to thank the staff of Golden Years Adult Home in Riverside, WA, for their exceptional care of Eileen.
