Wynona Richardson, age 75, of Bellevue, WA, passed away on February 2, 2011, at the home of her daughter. She and her husband, Larry, celebrated 53 years of marriage on December 7, 2010. He preceded her in death by 34 days. She was diagnosed with cancer in 2008, and faced her treatment with great courage. She cherished the time she had and shared it with her family, who she loved so much. She continued to stay positive and enjoyed her grandchildren. Her courage, good heart and pure spirit will not be forgotten by those who knew her. Wynona was born September 16, 1935, to Floyd and Nora Lewis in Zion, AR and came to Wenatchee with her family as a young girl. She graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1953. She was a talented seamstress and for many years had an upholstery business, which enabled her to work from home. Later in life, she sold cosmetics and helped with sales in the family's adjustable bed business. She was a devoted wife who truly loved, and deeply missed, her husband. She was small in stature, but big in spirit. After her children were grown, her passions turned to her eight grandchildren. She spent her days with her husband, grandchildren, Boxer dogs and her sewing. She believed love was magic and that it was one thing that people could always make more of, whenever needed. Her overall approach to life was to be positive, and her radiant smile made everyone feel better. Her strength, laughter and love are her greatest legacy.
Wynona is survived by her sister, Geraldine Moser of East Wenatchee; her sons, Kelly Richardson (Dana) of Folsom, CA and Kevin Richardson of Puyallup; her daughter, Rebecca Ohrt (Curt) of Redmond; eight grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Rita Campbell of Wenatchee.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2011, at 2:30 p.m. at the Mercer Island United Methodist Church. To view photos and sign the guest book, go to www.Flintofts.com.
