Brad Huddle will retire May 1 after 38 years with Allstate, and his daughter, Heidi Huddle, licensed for over 15 years, will take over the business. She was a 30 Under 35 honoree by Wenatchee Valley Business World in 2016.

Van Ford, owner of Orca Scuba in Wenatchee, received a personalized award, certificate and lapel pin from the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) recognizing him for completing his 20th year as a PADI member.

NCW Economic Development District has hired Alyce Brown to serve as marketing and events manager. Brown brings an MBA in operations management and 18 years of hospitality management to the team.

Wenatchee River Institute outdoor learning center has announced the selection of Carolyn Griffin-Bugert for the position of executive director. Griffin-Bugert acted as the WRI interim executive director from January through March of this year. She comes to WRI with a bachelor’s degree in zoology and a master’s degree in social work.

North Central Educational Service District has hired Seth Sampson as a Net-Serv technician. Previously, Sampson served as a Net-Serv intern with the organization.

Darlene Leenders has joined John L. Scott Wenatchee and Leavenworth as operations manager. She brings years of experience in management and statistical reporting working alongside both realtors and appraisers.

The Chelan-Douglas Land Trust (CDLT) recently announced the appointment of Suzanne Hartman as president of its 16-member board of directors. She brings over 30 years of communication and public relations experience to her leadership position.

Elizabeth Wilson of Malaga operated a dance school for 10 years. She spent most of her career in commercial real estate, developing and redeveloping shopping centers, office buildings, residential plats and a marina.

Randy Asplund of Wenatchee is a professional civil engineer and a senior principal with the firm of RH2 Engineering.

Paul Hessburg of Wenatchee is a senior research scientist working in the fields of landscape and fire ecology.

Gregg Carrington, Chelan PUD’s Energy Resources managing director, received the Pamela E. Klatt Award from the Northwest Hydropower Association at the association’s recent annual meeting in Portland. The award honors hydropower professionals who are dedicated to supporting the region’s waterpower as clean, efficient, renewable energy while protecting the fisheries and environmental quality that characterizes the Northwest.

Dr. Thomas Ovenell, D.C., of the North Central Washington Chiropractic Association was recently awarded with a plaque thanking him for his six years of service as association president. Dr. Andria Goff, D.C., is replacing him as president of the NCW Chiropractic Association.
